Things to Do in and Around Marloth Park

Not every day needs to be a full safari day. Visit Kruger, stop at the river viewpoints, try a local restaurant or spend an afternoon doing very little at Wildgoose.

Kruger Game Drives

Plan a self-drive or enquire with a registered local safari operator for a guided experience

Crocodile River Viewpoints

Take a slow drive through Marloth Park and stop at designated viewpoints overlooking Kruger.

Wildlife & Birdwatching

Keep your binoculars close. The conservancy is known for free-roaming plains game and abundant bird-life.

Walks & Cycling

Explore suitable routes with care, remain alert to wildlife and follow current local safety guidance.

Restaurants & Pubs

Stop for coffee, a meal or a drink at one of Marloth Park’s local venues.

Pool & Downtime

Come back for a swim, put your feet up and leave a few hours unplanned.

Plan Ahead

Opening hours and access arrangements change from time to time. Check directly with the venue or service provider before setting off, particularly over public holidays.

Lionspruit Hides

Just 100 meters from “The Guesthouse,” we have a private game park. Lionspruit spans approximately 1,500 hectares of fenced game reserve, home to lions, buffalo, rhinos, kudu, giraffes, zebras, blue wildebeests, nyalas, impalas, warthogs, and a vulture feeding program.
Leopards from Kruger Park often visit, as the fences are no barrier for a cat of that size. Lionspruit features around five beautiful hides where you can spend the day waiting for animals and birds, making it an ideal spot for photography enthusiasts. The park also offers BBQ and picnic facilities at some of the hides.

Small Workshops and Creative Weekends

The central part of the guesthouse can be used by small groups for photography, art or craft workshops and team weekends. Everyone can stay on the property and use the shared spaces between sessions.
